We use motivation to generate the willpower to do something. Inspiration comes from within and uses us to accomplish something, while motivation is external and we use it to accomplish something. Inspiration naturally motivates us and pulls us toward an outcome, while we use motivation to push ourselves toward something.
Inspiration is when we are naturally pulled in a direction. Motivation compels us to act, do, give, expend, push past limits, and push the envelope when inspiration isn’t present or when the activity is something we generally don’t have the desire to do.
Hunger is the real key and where it all begins. The people who achieve the highest levels of success are the people who have the most hunger. We have to have an insatiable hunger to find and uncover our true inspiration and then use that hunger again later to find the motivation to carry us through.
