Marc Marling is a Principal at Vanmarc Shipping Limited Company.  He joined me on the podcast to talk about how he believes the 21st century leader is more about real and deep relationships than about credentials. We also talked about relating to others, food, business, and the power of experiences.

Marc has worked in the shipping industry for more than 20 years, first in freight brokering and forwarding, later as a maritime attorney and now handling day to day operational and business issues for Vanmarc.

Marc was previously the General Counsel at container carrier CMA CGM (America) and handled extensive terminal acquisition and development work for the Virginia Port Authority and others while working in private practice. Marc is a graduate of Widener University (1993) and Rutgers University School of Law (1997) and earned a Certificate in Chartering from SUNY Maritime College (Ft. Schyler) (1994).
